I love 'The Sound of Music.' These are a few
of my favorite things: the flow of a creative idea, a shady tree, horse nostrils, chocolate mousse, impish grins,
knowing glances, ice-cream and checkers, Montana down to Colorado and everything West, songs and guitars, wet sand, warm conversations,
family, friends, and a pillow for the heart...

I have a Master's degree in
education. Using what I've learned from this degree, I was able to teach my sons, Thing 1 and Thing 2, to read during
infancy. Thing 1 read letters at the age of 18 months, and Thing 2 read letters at the age of 14 months. It worked
like this: "Thing 1, go fetch me the letter H." If Thing 1 brought the correct letter back from the pile, he was
given a cookie. If not, then Thing 2 was given his cookie. (Just kidding!) I believe in making learning fun! do this.
I used to write speeches for an Ambassador. I learned
that the biggest challenge to world peace is the run-on sentence. While working at the embassy, I spoke with Charlton
Heston on the phone. He wanted permission for his film crew to make a documentary about ancient ruins. Can you guess which
country's embassy I worked for? Here's another clue: cosmic triangular shapes.

I've always been an Elvis Presley fan, and my
favorite song is "If I Can Dream." I've also grown used to the theme song from Spongebob. "Are you ready,
kids? I can't hear you..." Feel free to sing along.
My
favorite children's book author is Roald Dahl. I like to think of my stories as Roald Dahl meets Alice in Wonderland.
I learned how to ride horses at the age of forty.
I've written and developed training for Fortune
500 companies. Sure, I received a paycheck. But I wasn't allowed to write about bedbugs or mice or say the word poop.
So I quit, and have stayed home with Things 1 and 2 ever since. Are you ready kids? I can't hear you...
